The Old Bald Man :)

Phil is 5' 7", in his 40's, with hazel eyes & dark brown hair (what's left of it!). He wears glasses because he is myopic (short-sighted) but refuses to wear contact lenses.

He loves being "daddy" when he's home (not often enough :-), and considers himself reasonably experienced in this field with six children (the last time he counted).

Phil works as a security consultant for BT, specialising in software vulnerabilities.

Phil is also a founder of (AshbySoft *), and when he's not playing with the kids, he can usually be found playing with his computer, having a technical discussion with Stuart or trying to organise a night out with his lovely wife Angela.

More recently (ok - in 2003) Phil joined the 4 Or More large family website, and is now hosting their forum on this server

Stuff

I do stuff, in particular:

• Funcube: I'm a developer on this combined amateur radio / educational satellite development team - writing the command & control software for rather excitingly titled 'space segment' - I think it's cool!

• Felixstowe Radio: I look after the tech bits for my local community radio station, and have a presenting slot on a Monday afternoon from 4-6pm

• Amateur genealogy, researching my own family tree with a friend who is semi-professional. It's amazing what you discover - who would have though I was descended from a long line of east-end chimney sweeps? Aye- aye me ol' china!

What's Phil up to right now?

Cars

Well, yes. It does look a bit like I've nicked the idea from Stuart, but hey, what are brothers for right?

I'm currently the owner of both a Citroën C8 (not this actual one but it's very similar), which is excellent for taking the family on holiday, or off to church, or many other things that need us all in one place away from home and...

A very mango Citroën Saxo commute car like this, which is kind of fun and is currently getting me to work and back at ~50 miles to the gallon It's also coming in handy as the kids are learning to drive!
